Has anyone else seen the restaurant review in this week's Observer magazine? Hilarious.
Jay Rayner reviews the Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle, which he berates for playing loud Lindisfarne music throughout his lunch!
Makes me want to:
a) go to the restaurant (which was clearly not his intention!)
b) Shake Jay Rayner warmly by the throat and
c) Tell him that Lindisfarne did NOT stick their fingers in their ears!

Allow me to poke out his eyes with the business end of a corncob holder, please.
And just when did anyone in the band use a squeezbox and stick fingers in their ears whilst performing? Have I missed something?
Might have to pop down Friars St this week and congratulate them on some superb choices!!
I'm a fan of the Guardian/Observer, but that's just drivel written by a man who thinks snobbery's a good thing. Ranks up there with the likes of Peter Hitchens. Verdict: Waste of paper! _________________ www.craigjohnson.org.uk

Thanks for that Dave, thats one I have got to try. Have suggested to said snobby critic that he might like to listen to a few of Hullys or even Rods lyrics if he wants to understand why snobbery is not something to be proud of in the mistaken belief that its the same as pride and value!!!
He could use a visit from Marsall Riley`s Army
