Katy LiedA quick look at the Katy Lied websitehttp://www.katylied.com/home.htm reveals that their third album is due for release later this month. Mainly a vehicle for the songs of Duncan Hamilton, the line-up has previously included Paul Burgess (RC & The Ghosts of Electricity) and Ian Thomson, though it seems that Ian has now left to be permanently replaced by Jo Wadeson. Thea Gilmore and Rod Clements both contributed to the second album Echo Games. The change from male vocalist Dan Britton on Late Arrival to the female voice of Katie Harnett on Echo Games ought to have given the first two albums a very different sound, but the songs have a very recognisable signature style. You know what you're getting with a Stonier production! On the strength of this back catalogue, I'll be adding Winter Lightening to my wants list. |
