MagsThis month's Mojo has a cd compiled by Noel Gallagher. It includes Alan doing WCST from the Alright On The Night cd.
For your info: Alan formed Lindisfarne in 1968 and wrote most of the band's biggest songs in a week. Must've been a helluva week.
This month's Record Collector mentions a Jack The Lad performance on a programme called London Bridge from 1975 and has two small pics.
And don't forget Nicely Out Of Tune the regular column by Rod in R2 magazine.

Interesting observations from Rod in each issue of R2 (Rock'n'Reel") which is still my favourite music mag. Off to ASDA now so hopefully Mojo is in there with Noel's choice!

Nice to see Alan getting some more recognition, even if Mr Gallagher's grasp of the Lindisfarne history is somewhat off kilter!

I'm pretty sure Noel didn't write the paragraph about the band / track - it was probably penned by the same person who credited Market Square's Peter Muir (who kindly agreed that they could use the track) as Paul Muir in the CD booklet!
The main thing is that approx. 100,000 readers are now exposed to some of Alan's music!
