ray jackson lindisfarne show 22nd

Lindisfarne show last night was fantastic just like the 70/80s shows we had 2 kids sitting in front of us,head in hands thing what the f*&K are we doing here dragged along by the parents but by the end of the night they were clapping along to the music. the wife bought me 2 lindisfarne T shirts, polo shirt, beani hat and a crew jacket for my birthday.
I did not get my ticket for the lindisfarne storey in whitley bay last year and bought a ticket from a member of this site, and i ended up sitting next to him last night.
I spoke To Rod Clements last night and got him to sign my party hat

Took my 2 teenage daughters on Friday night and I don't think they were looking forward to it one bit. They loved it!

Came over on Friday, costed me a boat trip, a hotel night, three/four days (leave thursday afternoon, return sunday morning) and two holiday days but it was worth it, more than that. I'm saving for next year.  Laughing

Think we were sat in the row behind you, Happy Birthday!  Was a fantastic show, I didn't have the pleasure of attending a Christmas show in the 80s as I was too young but my Dad introduced me to Lindisfarne and the fantastic sound.  I was there with my Fiancee and she thoroughly enjoyed it too.  I said afterwards my late father would have loved the show and I'd like to think he was there in spirit Swinging Together through all the classics!

Hope there's more next year and looking forward to Sunday for Sammy in a few weeks time!

Really great show from the lads last night, they've put a lot of effort in to getting this venture right.

Yes the legendary Rod Clements was indeed there last night.  He was with us on the stage seats for the first half, and (I believe) at the back of the hall for the second half.

Yes it was a good night, good to see you again Billy (I am your Whitley Bay ticket tout) and to meet Bruce. The seat in front of me was unoccupied all evening (other than by my coat) so it was great to have an unobstructed view.

Also great to sit next to someone who sang so loudly that I had no option other than to do the same!

Hope my singing did not put you off steve, Another god night. The wife bought me a tour jacket on the way out to go with all the shirts she bought on the way in.
i still have my Ma1 bomber lindisfarne Jacket i got in th 80s but i was 9 stone then and now it is just a part of my collection never to be worn again  Ha Ha
I spoke to Rod i have been playing one of his songs at the folk club i go to and he asked me where it was, with a bit luck he might turn up for a few songs.
charity main is the song i do from rods stomping ground album
