Solo album name?

Does anyone know the solo album by one of the band from the 7o's? I can't remember the name of it. One of the track was about a guy who falls in love with the daughter of the local rich land owner. Sticks in my mind 40 years later. Great album.

Lyrics - "Oh ... what does money mean anyway we've got more than all that. We can smile on a rainy day, we can laugh. I know your father is very rich and owns half the town in which my father works for half a crown a day".

Thanks
Bob

Hi. Welcome to the forum.

The "one of the band" was Alan Hull. The song is 'Money Game' from Alan's 'Pipedream' album released in 1973.

Oh... the name was Anna.

By the way. If you ever get chance to see Dave Hull-Denholm and Ian Thomson performing 'The Alan Hull Songbook'....go!  They include the Money Game track in their set.

Thanks, I've been waiting 30 years to hear that song again - much enjoyed during the 70's, when there was no internet, no wifi and no decent radio to listen to.

Though, we did enjoy good music by vinyl.
