THE ALAN HULL SONGBOOK - TWO DATES IN WALES FOR OCTOBER

Dave Hull-Denholm and Ian Thomson bring 'The Alan Hull Songbook' to Wales in October.

Saturday 11 October:
Venue: Ty Siamas.
Address: Eldon Square, Dolgellau, Gwynedd.

Sunday 12 October:
Venue: Fairbourne Village Hall.
Beach Road, Fairbourne, Gwynedd.

These gigs represent a rare chance to see Dave and Ian perform classic Alan Hull songs from both Alan's Lindisfarne and solo catalogues.  Don't miss it!

Tickets for either venue are priced at only £10 each, and can be obtained from me (Bob) by sending me a PM or email (see buttons below).

colin

Can we have post code. For this if possible. Thanks.
Bob

Sure thing.

The Dolgellau venue is LL40 1PU, and the Fairbourne venue is LL38 2PQ.

The two venues are a 20 minute drive apart, just in case anyone wants to make a weekend out of it and go to both.....some people do.

I can supply details of hotels etc (all within a few hundred yards of venue) if anyone requires it.

You coming along, Colin?
Kirsty

From the Facebook page:

You'll hear us do several songs that have never been recorded by anyone, including The Clear White Light part 1 (!?!), plus all your favourites from Lindisfarne and from Alan's solo albums.

Sounds like a great evening. Just wish I could be there.
Mick

I understood that 'Clear White light (part 1)' was a poem written by Alan. It would be interesting to see and hear a version that's been put to music.

It was, Mick, sort of. I say 'sort of' because if I've identified the right poem, it wasn't called that or anything like it. The one I have in mind is called Love, Part 382.  It's in Mockinghorse, if you can track down a copy.

PS.  I too wish I could get to one (or more) of these gigs, but it's looking unlikely.
Bob

You coming up, Mick?
Mick

I'd love to, but I can't commit myself to it at present. Hopefully I should know one way or another within the next week or so.
