It seems mind boggling, but it is now 15 years since 'Promenade' was released. I was playing it in my car this morning and I'm still impressed by how good it is. So many great songs and so many memories in what was to be the band's final studio album. 'This Guitar Never Lies' still gets my toes tapping and 'This Too Will Pass' still sends shivers down my spine.

'This Too Will Pass' and 'Candlelight' were two of the first songs that got me hooked on Lindisfarne. I still think it's a bit of an odd arrangement of songs, but it's a cracking record.

I'm sure if 'This Too Will Pass' and 'Candlelight' were recorded and released by more, shall we say, mainstream artists those songs would be more recognised by radio etc....and maybe played more.
